Dr. Phillip L. Smith

Dr. Phillip L. Smith is a 1961 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. and received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Center in 1966. After completing his internship and residency at the Medical Center in 1970, he joined the United States Air Force, serving as a Major and Chief of Radiological Services at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville until 1972. He returned to the Medical Center in 1972 to begin serving as Assistant and later Associate Professor of Radiology for the Medical Center, as well as the Veteran's Administration Hospital and Arkansas Children's Hospital. After ten years, he joined the practice 1982. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Garland County Medical Society, the Arkansas State Medical Society, and the Radiological Society of North America. He has published numerous articles on angiography and related procedures over the years and has often been invited to speak to physician groups.
